Paint Shop Manager

Our client is a leading steelwork company that supplies steel‑framed structures and associated construction services throughout the UK. They are expanding and require an experienced Paint Shop Manager.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the daily management of all labour resources within the paint shop and loading area.
• Ensure all scheduled maintenance is carried out on all paint plant.
• Identify training needs and arrange approved training as necessary.
• Attend daily management briefings.
• Ensure customer specifications are reviewed and achieved.
• Ensure all quality and environmental procedures are adhered to.
• Liaise with internal and external suppliers.
• Maintain an acceptable standard of cleanliness/housekeeping by conducting daily audits.

Qualifications

Competent organisation, planning and management skills; ability to plan the workload of the team for both day shift and night shift; strong communication skills; proven experience as a Paint Shop Manager; aptitude for training staff; and knowledge of quality and environmental procedures.
