Senior Consultant, Supply Chain and Operations – Procurement

We are looking for experienced procurement professionals to join our growing team and support our clients to navigate the unprecedented global uncertainty, volatility and risk within supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-value complex strategic sourcing projects, supporting clients to identify and onboard suppliers to deliver some of their largest and most critical projects.
  • Engaging with business stakeholders and suppliers to shape category strategies that best meet the organization’s needs and take advantage of market and industry best practice.
  • Conducting assessments on third party spend using analytics tools, identifying opportunities to reduce cost and working with clients to implement projects and improve ways of working so that they are better able to manage spend.
  • Supporting clients to navigate supplier performance issues that impact business outcomes, working with them to implement leading practice contract and supplier management capabilities.
  • Working with clients to review the current procurement operating model and identify and implement improvements.
  • Providing formal and informal procurement training to client teams so they have the technical and soft skills to deliver the best procurement outcomes.
  • Supporting clients to implement leading procurement technology practices, including Robotic Process Automation and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Lead a workstream within a project where you will be completing analysis, engaging with clients and taking responsibility for deliverables.
  • Be adept at problem‑solving with clients and project teams, leveraging your skills to deliver high‑quality work.
  • Build, maintain and strengthen relationships and be a trusted advisor to clients, working with procurement and wider business stakeholders.
  • Work with colleagues across different parts of EY globally in order to deliver the best possible outcomes.
  • Help develop and deliver our internal procurement training programme so that we build the capabilities of our team.
  • Help shape our leading procurement practices and methodology supporting internal research and analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of proposals to showcase some of our leading practices.

Your Experience

  • Experience within procurement.
  • Ability to write to a high standard.
  • Track record of operating in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with evidence of being able to draw out insights from a range of different data sources.
  • Ability to successfully work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of organization.
  • Experience working with diverse teams of people.

Qualifications

  • Professional body membership or qualifications such as Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS), International Association of Commercial & Contract Management (IACCM) or equivalent, or a valid equivalent qualification.
