Role: Housing First Project Lead

Contract Type: Fixed term/secondment until 31st March 2027

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00am-18.00pm on a rota basis.

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker – expected to visit tenants and properties daily.

Salary: Grade H – £40,777 (level 1) rising to £44,075 (level 4) per annum.

Location: Highwood House, NG3 4HD.

About the Role

As the Housing First Project Lead, you will provide a proactive, dedicated and intensive end-to‑end casework management service to Housing First and Housing Led tenancies. These initiatives prioritize individuals with multiple and complex needs who have histories of rough sleeping and cyclical homelessness, for whom traditional supported accommodation has not worked.

You’ll be responsible for the casework management of these tenancies and for ensuring properties are suitable, drawing up Housing Management plans, and managing anti‑social behaviour robustly.

About You

  1. Knowledge and understanding of the legal and statutory framework relating to housing services and anti‑social behaviour.
  2. Ability to make accurate and timely decisions while remaining calm under pressure and maintaining control of challenging situations.
  3. Proven ability to positively represent the service by developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external agencies.
  4. Knowledge of Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and other welfare benefits, plus working knowledge of legal procedures relating to rent arrears and debt recovery.
  5. Flexible and responsive to change, willing to work outside normal office hours and from other office locations as required.
  6. Self‑motivated and resilient, able to work proactively with minimum supervision.
