Planning & Control Manager

Location: Flexible (Warrington, Derby, or Manchester with hybrid working)

Salary: £71,000 – £93,187 + £5,000 allowance + 17% bonus

The Operations & Supply Chain function plays a key role in enabling programme delivery through robust, integrated planning. The Planning capability ensures alignment between demand, supply, inventory and financial performance across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of the SIOP process across the organisation.
  • Integrate demand, supply, inventory and financial planning into a single, aligned framework.
  • Drive cross-functional planning processes to ensure alignment across the business.
  • Develop forecasts, demand plans and scenario modelling to support decision‑making.
  • Assess supply chain capacity and constraints against programme requirements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders to support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure governance, processes and systems for planning are defined and maintained.
  • Coordinate planning cycles and communicate outputs across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practice within planning and control.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in planning, SIOP or integrated business planning environments.
  • Deep understanding of supply chain planning, demand forecasting and inventory management.
  • Experience in capacity planning and scenario modelling.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, matrix organisation.
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving decision‑making.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and planning tools.
  • Experience in manufacturing, infrastructure, energy or complex project environments desirable.

Location & Ways of Working

This role can be based from our Derby, Manchester or Warrington offices, with hybrid working and cross‑functional collaboration.

Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from £75,437 to £93,187, dependent on the skills, experience and value you bring. The remaining benefits include:

  • Bonus: Up to 17% (performance related)
  • Personal Benefits Allowance: £5,000
  • Pension: 12% employer / 6% employee
  • Holidays: 28 days + public holidays (option to buy/sell up to 4 days)

Due to the safety regulations within the nuclear industry, applicants will be required to participate in additional screening:

  • Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
  • Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check
