Location: Cardiff, CF10 3BW

Salary: £30,000 plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Fixed Term Contract 12-months, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (37.5 hours per week), 5 days on-site

Ready to impact a better future?As a Re-Engagement and Job Outcome Coach in our Employment, Skills and Training team at Restart, you’ll play a key role in reconnecting people with meaningful employment opportunities. You’ll work at pace to re-engage participants, unlock their potential, and move them into sustainable jobs.

This is a role with real purpose. You’ll support individuals who may have disengaged from their employment journey, helping them rebuild confidence and take positive steps towards work. By connecting people to opportunities and creating momentum, your work will have a direct and lasting impact on communities and a better future.

What you’ll do as Reengagement & Job Outcome Coach

  • Proactively engage participants approaching and beyond 12 months on the programme, encouraging continued participation
  • Re-engage individuals who have disengaged, using tailored approaches to rebuild motivation
  • Review caseloads and action plans to identify job-ready participants and quick-win opportunities
  • Match participants to suitable vacancies, working closely with Employer Engagement teams
  • Support participants to become job-ready, including CVs, interviews, and confidence building
  • Track engagement, re-engagement success, and conversion to employment
  • Use data and insight to prioritise activity and continuously refine approach

Does this sound like you?

  • Proven experience in employability, recruitment, or a participant-facing role
  • Good understanding of employability programmes
  • Strong engagement and motivational skills, particularly with individuals facing barriers
  • The ability to work at pace and manage a high volume of activity
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Strong organisation, time management, and IT skills
  • Welsh speaking is desirable

Vetting and checks:An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
