Technical Officer – Home Improvements

Sefton Home Improvements Service team consists of administrative and Technical Officers who are charged with the delivery of Disabled Facilities Grant adaptations. These are Major adaptations which involve works to enable people to have safe access in and around their homes so they can continue to live there for as long as possible.

Sefton Home Improvements Service is seeking to appoint an experienced, competent, self-motivated and suitably qualified Technical Officer to assist in the delivery of these Disabled Facilities Grant adaptations. They must be able to produce schedules of work and associated drawings in accordance with the Occupational Therapists recommendations, to ensure client’s needs are met. Adaptations can range from small internal alterations to more complex schemes.

The successful applicant will be required to provide a Borough wide service to all our clients, experience of working with older people and/or people with disabilities is desirable along with a genuine commitment to work to consistently high standards providing a quality service at all times, Communicate with a wide and varied customer base and liaise with Internal and external bodies and other parties involved in delivering this key service.

Successful applicant will be required to be DBS checked.
