The role:

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for data-driven decision-making and expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional who can lead on analytics, research, and community engagement. This is a pivotal role that will shape how we understand and respond to our residents’ needs, ensuring that communication campaigns, services, and transformation programmes are informed by robust evidence and insight.

The Head of Insight, Research, and Engagement is a senior leadership role within Liverpool City Council’s Strategy and Change Directorate, part of the Communications and Engagement Team. The successful candidate will oversee the development of dashboards and business intelligence tools to support targeted communications and improve engagement with diverse communities, ensuring that the voices of Liverpool’s residents shape the services they receive. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in research and analytics, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
