The Role

Higher Education is undergoing a massive digital shift, and we need a Salesforce Developer to modernise the student lifecycle experience using Salesforce Education Cloud. You will work on long‑term scalable solutions, taking pride in elegant, sustainable design.

What You Will Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain solutions on Salesforce Education Cloud to enhance the student lifecycle experience.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Build custom applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools within Salesforce.
  • Integrate Salesforce with other systems using APIs and middleware, ensuring data consistency and security.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high‑quality deliverables.
  • Stay up to date with Salesforce releases and best practices, applying them to improve solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues and clients, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Essential requirements

What You Will Bring

  • 2–3 years of experience in Salesforce development.
  • Understanding of Salesforce architecture and its ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations and APIs.

Some UK roles at PA Consulting require a UK security clearance. All PA staff undergo background checks and must meet the Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Certain positions also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, which requires at least five years of continuous residency in the UK. Applicants should be British citizens or have lived in the UK for the past five years, as this is the prerequisite for a security clearance.

Interview Process

  • Quick call with a Tech Recruiter to discuss the role.
  • Round 1: Competency or technical interview (60 minutes).
  • Round 2: Competency or technical interview, whichever was not done in the first round (60 minutes).
  • Final Round: Meeting with a PA leader, including a mini case study and discussion around client‑centricity (60 minutes).
