This market‑leading, high‑profile national organisation, headquartered in Birmingham, offers a senior finance leadership opportunity within a key operational division. The role reports to senior finance leadership and manages a high‑performing team.

Responsibilities

• Own financial reporting and performance oversight for a significant business unit.
• Act as a trusted finance business partner to divisional leadership, providing insightful analysis and challenging performance.
• Deliver accurate and timely management reporting, ensuring balance sheet integrity and financial controls.
• Oversee governance and drive continuous improvement across reporting processes.
• Utilise analytical skills to provide meaningful financial commentary and present performance insights to senior stakeholders.
• Influence operational and commercial outcomes through informed decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Graduate with a qualified accountant designation (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Strong background in financial reporting, planning & analysis and business partnering.
• Experience operating within a large, complex organisation.
• Commercial awareness, strong communication skills and confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
• Background in retail or logistics is a distinct advantage.
• Proactive leadership capability and a drive to improve and add value beyond numbers.
