Overview

We’re currently recruiting Urgent Treatment Practitioners (Band7 & Band8a) to support our NHS Client across multiple Urgent Treatment Centres.

Available Roles

  • Band7 – Senior Urgent Care Practitioner
  • Band8a – Senior Urgent Care Practitioner

Locations

Ripley, Ilkeston, Whitworth.

Qualifications

  • Professional registration with NMC or HCPC
  • Minor Injuries Management qualification
  • Minimum Level7 module in Physical Examination & Clinical Reasoning
  • V300 Non‑Medical Prescriber (Level7)

The UTC service will review applicants with either minor illness or minor injury experience. Prescribing is essential.

Shift Patterns

Early, Late & Long Day shifts — 7.5, 10 or 12 hours. Mainly daytime cover. Zero‑hour contract – pick shifts that suit your availability. Once approved, candidates can self‑book available shifts as they are released.

Pay Rates (LTD)

  • Band7: £39 per hour (Mon–Fri) LTD company rate, inclusive of Holiday and NI
  • Band8a: £45 per hour (Mon–Fri) LTD company rate, inclusive of Holiday and NI

Band8a trainees will not be accepted. Band8a clinicians may cover Band7 shifts only.

Banding Explained

  • Band7: Nurse Practitioner Prescriber (V300) – able to assess, diagnose, treat & prescribe, no Master’s in ACP required
  • Band8a: Advanced Nurse / Clinical Practitioner with Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice

Skills & Experience Considered

  • Minor Illness & Minor Injuries

  • Paediatrics (0–12 months / 12–24 months / 24 months)
  • Mental Health management
  • Pregnancy‑related presentations
  • Work settings: GP surgeries, Urgent Care, Out of Hours, Home Visiting & Telephone Triage
