Job DescriptionAs a Clinical Service Manager, you will lead a well-established nursing home in Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43, supporting high-quality care delivery across a 60-bed service providing nursing and residential care. The home is bright and spacious, with en-suite rooms, communal lounges, dining areas and gardens designed to support residents’ comfort and wellbeing. This role would suit an experienced nurse-qualified manager who is confident overseeing a large care service, supporting teams, maintaining standards and ensuring residents receive safe, person-centred care. With a full-time Deputy Manager already in post, this is a strong opportunity to join a supportive service where leadership, clinical quality and staff development are central to day‑to‑day care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of a large nursing and residential care service
- Ensure high standards of safe, person-centred care across the home
- Provide visible clinical leadership and guidance to nursing and care teams
- Support, develop and motivate staff to deliver consistent, compassionate care
- Work closely with the Deputy Manager to maintain effective operational oversight
- Promote residents’ wellbeing, dignity, independence and quality of life
- Maintain compliance with relevant care standards, policies and regulatory expectations
- Oversee care planning, risk management, documentation and quality monitoring
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and external professionals
- Contribute to a warm, supportive and professional service culture
Requirements
- Sponsorship / right to work: Permanent right to work in the UK required; sponsorship availability has not been specified
- Qualification: Nurse qualified with an active NMC PIN
- Experience level: Previous experience managing a large care service
- Specialism: Nursing home leadership, with experience across nursing and residential care
- Capability: Confident leading clinical standards, compliance, care quality and team performance
- Soft skill: Warm, professional and supportive leadership style with strong communication skills
