Senior Service Designer – Digital Banking (Glasgow)
Purpose of the role: to create user‑centred and visually appealing designs for digital banking products through user research, interface design, stakeholder collaboration and continuous improvement.
Accountabilities
- Conduct user research and usability tests to understand customer needs, pain points and incorporate feedback into banking products.
- Design intuitive and user‑friendly interfaces for digital banking platforms and applications, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.
- Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualise and test product concepts before development.
- Maintain visually appealing and consistent user interfaces that align with the bank’s brand identity and design guidelines across all digital products.
- Ensure accessibility compliance and consider inclusive design principles.
- Monitor industry trends, design best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve design quality and innovation.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers and other business divisions.
- Lead a team on complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees and manage performance appraisal.

Qualifications & Skills
- Experience facilitating and running workshops, end‑to‑end journey and service mapping, and proposition shaping.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration with research teams.
- Proficiency in UX/UI design, including creating wireframes, prototypes and design systems.
- Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and inclusive design.
- Strategic thinking, business acumen and digital/technology skills.
- Risk and control awareness, change and transformation experience.
