Ontic is recruiting an Assembly Technician to support builds and assembles of aerospace filtration products at our Bolton site.
Responsibilities
- Build and strip a variety of simple and complex filtration units.
- Assemble filters efficiently and accurately.
- Assemble, test, and inspect a range of mechanical products and final‑unit instruments.
- Use diagnostic tests, methodologies, and high‑level technical assembly techniques.
- Interpret and utilize assembly and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Work within a production environment to support assembly and testing activities to meet business needs.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and company policies concerning health and safety, data protection, equal opportunities, and quality assurance.
- Ensure all assembly and testing activities are completed to required quality standards, meet contractual customer expectations, and conform to specifications.
- Use test equipment and diagnostic tools efficiently and correctly.
Qualifications
- Experience within the aerospace industry is advantageous (not essential).
- Safe, responsible, and compliant use of a variety of tools and equipment.
- Working knowledge of measurement equipment such as verniers and micrometers.
- Experience in a highly regulated background or aerospace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- PC literate.
- Experience working within a high‑performance culture, consistently achieving objectives and targets within tight timescales.
- Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to pass any job‑related assessments where applicable.
