Role Overview
Due to our growing and diverse portfolio, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Fire Engineer to join us in London. This position is part of a well‑established multi‑disciplinary team that provides fire safety guidance and advice to clients in both the public and private sectors.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist or manage a team of fire consultants
- Provide advice to the Partner
- Assist in the completion of PQQ/bid documents
- Provide quality assurance and compliance to the clients
- Visit sites to deliver fire consultancy services
- Provide fire advice, guidance and training across the client base
- Liaise with Enforcing Authorities on behalf of clients when required
- Advise clients on matters of fire safety standards and best practice affecting their business
- Develop the fire consultancy service and assist in providing management financial reporting
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate demonstrates a positive approach, delivers customer service excellence, and achieves good commercial results. The candidate should be passionate about fire safety and strive to provide the utmost quality on every commission.
Qualifications
- Level 5 minimum qualification achieved in Fire Discipline
Experience
- Robust knowledge of UK fire safety legislation
- Strong technical delivery experience
- Membership of IFE / IFSM or equivalent
- Ability to successfully direct and manage complex projects proactively and diligently
- Track record in line management and development of team members
- Experience in developing new relationships and securing new business
- Client‑facing, ensuring high standards of technical delivery
- Ability to build long‑term client relationships
- Experience of prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines
- Team player, outgoing, flexible and motivated
