In this role, you will contribute to the development and management of wafer fabrication processes for indium phosphide (InP)–based semiconductor optical components.This is an **on-site, shift-based position** 4 days on, 4 days off.**Role Overview**The Chip R&D team is responsible for developing and introducing into production advanced photonic devices, including lasers, modulators, receivers, and photonic integrated circuits (PICs) for cloud and networking applications.As a Process Integration Engineer, you will play a key role in translating device designs into manufacturable, high-performing semiconductor chips. This requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams to solve complex technical challenges with tangible commercial impact.**Key Responsibilities*** Integrate wafer fabrication processes to deliver new InP-based products, including coherent and direct detection photonic components* Optimize existing wafer fab processes to improve yield, cost, and cycle time* Develop and maintain process flows and documentation within the MES system* Monitor and evaluate product performance throughout the development cycle* Use analytical tools (e.g., SEM) to investigate and improve process performance* Develop new process modules and ensure scalability for high-volume manufacturing* Support the transfer of new processes and products into production* Apply Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., FMEA, capability analysis, design for manufacturability/yield) for process and product improvement* Present process data and statistical analyses to support manufacturability decisions* Act as the key interface between design, operations engineering, and manufacturing teams* Serve as the process expert for products, including post-transfer support in production**Skills and Experience****Essential Qualifications & Experience*** Degree in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field (relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu).
