It is essential to have object‑oriented software coding and structural engineering experience in Java, C++, C#, VB, or Python.

THE ROLE
Lead programmer for a new software tool for offshore wind turbines.
You will lead the development of an offshore wind turbine foundation concept design tool.
You will enjoy the challenge of creating code and have experience with languages such as Matlab, Python or similar.
Work includes foundations and steel design for offshore wind turbines – stress, FE, loads modelling and complete design of large offshore foundations such as jackets, monopiles, and steel towers. You will be supported by experienced offshore structural engineers who will help shape the direction of the development and provide specific offshore wind guidance if required.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Mechanical / Structural / Civil Engineering degree.
- Offshore Wind engineering experience.
- Experienced programmer using Matlab and/or Python.
- Structural engineering.
ADVANTAGE TO HAVE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING
- DNV’s SESAM-GENIE.
- Experience with dynamics of offshore wind turbine foundations (jackets, monopiles, floating).
- Steel structures, e.g. steel towers.
- Geotechnical.
NB: It is essential to have offshore wind structural engineering experience. Our client has an excellent attitude towards ongoing personal development, training and development. Permanent role based in the UK.
