Export Compliance Officer – Join our Export Compliance Center of Excellence team in our Yeovil facility. Reporting to the Export Compliance Manager, your focus will be to manage export controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, work with other teams within Honeywell Aerospace to provide training, give advice, raise awareness of export controls, and resolve complex export issues. This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as ambassador of export compliance, raising awareness with internal stakeholders and providing specialized advice and training.
  • Maintain a framework to ensure compliance with export control laws and provide support to ensure compliance.
  • Engage with all staff to provide guidance on applicable export control laws and their impact on product, processes and personnel.
  • Perform routine compliance checks as part of the internal control environment.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to continuously improve export compliance touchpoints to IT infrastructure and other daily operations.
  • Support processes for submitting and obtaining necessary export licenses from the government.
  • Manage export transactions in SAP / GTS.
  • Stay engaged with other security and export control professionals in the region, exchange knowledge and develop best practices.
  • Continuously learn as the regulatory environment changes and implement necessary measures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or two years of corporate experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Fluent English (C1 and above).
  • Exposure to export compliance through work experience, or an interest in compliance themes and willingness to learn.
  • Global mindset and resilient personality.
  • Independent problem‑solving skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • SAP / GTS knowledge.
  • Fluency in other European language(s).
  • Background or interest in data analytics, programming.
  • Experience in any of the following (or any other governmental institutions):
    • UK Export Controls
    • European Union Dual‑Use Regulation
    • Military Export Controls of any European country
    • US Export Controls (EAR or ITAR)
    • Customs Regulation
    • Sanctions Compliance
