About the role
We are looking for a Contracts Manager who leads the delivery of our responsive repairs contract across Nottingham and Peterborough. This role will be split between our Peterborough and Nottingham offices, with 3 days in Peterborough and 2 days in Nottingham.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operational delivery of the responsive repairs contract across Nottingham and Peterborough.
- Instill ownership and responsibility in the team, supporting the successful delivery of works on time and to budget.
- Lead by example with direct labour, motivating, incentivising and developing individuals to achieve KPI targets, including apprentices.
- Ensure Health and Safety measures are in place and monitored.
- Produce and oversee KPI‑based reporting, implementing corrective actions.
- Take ownership of recruitment, onboarding and induction of new members.
- Ensure resources, including subcontractors, plant and materials, are available to deliver the work as planned.
- Build relationships internally and externally, encouraging commercial and operational teams to work closely together for successful contract delivery.
Qualifications
- Experience in producing high standards of Health and Safety management through strong system controls and leadership by example.
- Strong planning and organising skills to ensure workstreams are successful in delivery, resource and quality, while understanding cost and risk management in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrable experience in managing direct labour, investing in the team and understanding individuals’ capabilities.
- Customer‑centric mindset, consistently delivering in line with customer expectations.
- SMSTS qualification with a sound working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
- NVQ qualification level 6 (or equivalent) in Construction Site Management, or a willingness to work towards it.

Salary of £52,358 with a car allowance of £6,700.
