About the Role

We are working in partnership with an NHS service in London to recruit an experienced and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join a supportive, forward-thinking team.

What You’ll Be Doing

n

    n

  • n

    Deliver targeted speech and language interventions for children and young people across primary and secondary school settings.

    n

  • n

  • n

    Assess communication needs using a range of appropriate tools and approaches, translating findings into clear, effective care plans.

    n

  • n

  • n

    Produce high-quality reports written in accessible, child- and family-friendly language, demonstrating sound clinical reasoning.

    n

  • n

  • n

    Confidently deliver training and advice to education staff and other professionals to support inclusive practice.

    n

  • n

  • n

    Work collaboratively to support children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) within an SEN framework.

    n

  • n

What We’re Looking For

n

Essential Qualifications

n

    n

  • n

    Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent)

    n

  • n

  • n

    Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

    n

  • n

  • n

    Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)

    n

  • n

Skills & Experience (Essential)

n

    n

  • n

    Experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist (or student SLT) in education settings

    n

  • n

  • n

    Proven experience supporting children with SLCN at both primary and secondary school level

    n

  • n

  • n

    Strong knowledge of SEND and national guidance supporting schools

    n

  • n

  • n

    Experience using a range of intervention approaches for school-aged children

    n

  • n

  • n

    Knowledge and practical experience of assessment methods appropriate for this age group

    n

  • n
