AI Software Engineer – Bristol

£100,000 – 100,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a hands‑on AI Software Engineer with deep Firebase expertise, including Firestore, Cloud Run, Auth, and Security Rules.
• We need someone who has built production systems, not just prototypes.
• We require demonstrable experience building and deploying complex AI applications using LLMs.
• Experience with agentic workflows is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with vector databases such as pgvector, ChromaDB, Pinecone, or similar is a plus.
• We are seeking an engineer who wants to grow into a leadership and CTO‑level role as we scale.

Responsibilities

• We will rely on you to build the end‑to‑end architecture, security, performance, and integrations for our platform on Firebase.
• You will work with Claude API and leading LLMs to deliver our AI‑powered workflow and intelligence platform.
• You will take well‑defined specs and prototypes and turn them into production‑quality code.
• You will work closely with our Head of Product to shape and deliver the product.
• As we grow, you will help build our engineering function by hiring, structuring, and mentoring the team.
• You will play a key role in leading the technical direction of the company as we scale toward the CTO role.
