The Role

As Software Development Lead, you will take responsibility for leading a multi‑disciplinary software engineering team, guiding day‑to‑day technical delivery, and helping shape the development of a suite of complex software products and platforms.

You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure engineering output aligns with wider business objectives, while remaining close to the technology and delivery side of the function.

The environment is primarily focused on C# and C++ across mixed technology systems.

What’s Required?

  • Proven experience leading software development teams in a senior technical capacity
  • Strong background in software engineering, with hands‑on experience in C# and/or C++
  • Experience working within a heavily regulated industry such as finance, healthcare, payroll, utilities, defence, aerospace, or similar
  • Experience contributing to or shaping technical strategy, engineering standards, and delivery processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to engage both technical teams and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Ambition to progress into more senior leadership roles over time
