  • Filton based | 4 days per week onsite | 35-hour working week

Our client is a globally recognised aerospace engineering organisation responsible for delivering complex products to customers worldwide. Working within a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in managing supplier performance, driving quality improvements and supporting on-time delivery across critical programmes. Due to ongoing programme demand, they are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Quality Manager to join the team.

Supply Chain Quality Manager Role

As a Supply Chain Quality Manager, you will manage a portfolio of suppliers responsible for delivering critical aircraft components across multiple programmes. Acting as the key interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will drive supplier performance, support quality improvements and ensure delivery commitments are achieved.

You will:

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure on-time and on-quality deliveries
  • Support supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive resolution of supply chain and quality issues
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance against requirements
  • Represent the supply chain function within cross-functional teams
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, programmes and customer stakeholders
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation plans
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to resolve supplier challenges
  • Support delivery of parts and components to operational requirements

Essential Skills

  • Supply Chain, Supplier Management or Supplier Quality experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working directly with suppliers and external partners
  • Knowledge of quality processes and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and influence stakeholders
  • Negotiation and relationship management skills

Desirable Skills

  • Aerospace, Manufacturing or Engineering industry experience
  • Supplier Quality experience
  • Knowledge of Practical Problem Solving (PPS) methodologies
  • Experience using 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa or similar root cause analysis tools
  • Understanding of quality standards and supplier compliance processes
