Salary: £34,656 – £36,275 per annum

Overview

As the school’s Data and MIS Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining the school’s data systems, ensuring accurate and meaningful information supports strategic decision‑making across the Academy. You will coordinate our MIS, oversee statutory data returns, and provide high‑quality analysis to inform teaching, learning, and operational planning.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the school’s MIS and data systems
• Coordinate and support daily use of data by teaching and support staff
• Oversee statutory data returns and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
• Provide high‑quality analysis and reporting to inform strategic and operational decisions
• Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team, governors, external agencies and partners to ensure data systems are robust and efficient

Qualifications and Experience

• Significant experience working in a secondary school environment
• Previous experience managing school MIS systems (e.g. Arbor)
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills with proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
• Excellent attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of GDPR and data confidentiality requirements
