EMBS Engineering Ltd is working in partnership with a precision engineering manufacturer located in Birmingham. The company is looking for a 5‑Axis CNC Programmer / Machinist to join permanently. The manufacturer has a strong history of supporting globally recognised customers with safety‑critical, highly complex components.

Responsibilities
As a 5‑Axis CNC Programmer / Machinist, you will manage the end‑to‑end manufacturing of safety‑critical components using new high‑performance Spinner machining centres and help maximise the potential of new assets.
- Create robust 5‑axis CNC programs offline using HyperMill CAM software at the dedicated workstation attached to the machines.
- Proof out, set up, and run the programs safely and efficiently on new 5‑Axis machinery.
- Work with a variety of machine controls, specifically navigating Heidenhain and/or FANUC operating systems.
- Collaborate during the upcoming factory relocation to establish efficient, lean workflows in the new facility.
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Heidenhain and/or FANUC machine controls (essential).
- Proven track record in 5‑axis offline CNC programming with hands‑on experience using HyperMill CAM software (desirable).
- Strong settings and operating capabilities on 5‑axis CNC milling and/or turning centres.
- Strong background in precision engineering, working to tight tolerances on complex parts.
