Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer to join their growing team based in Plymouth, Devon. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring developer to gain hands‑on experience working on both desktop and mobile applications within a supportive, team‑oriented environment.
Role
You will be part of a collaborative development team delivering software solutions across multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Working with technologies such as C++, C#, and Xojo, you will contribute to a wide range of technical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Writing code to solve a variety of technical challenges
- Rendering and manipulating vector graphics (including OpenGL backends)
- Contributing to the development of UI frameworks
- Developing client‑side functionality for cloud‑based systems
- Supporting build automation processes
- Creating internal tools to improve operational efficiency
Team & Working Environment
You will join a structured development team and report to a team leader. Work is organised into manageable tasks using a ticketing system, with regular sprint meetings and daily stand‑ups to support collaboration and progress. The environment is supportive, with guidance readily available from both team leaders and colleagues.
