Client Policy Analyst – Governance

As a Client Policy Analyst for Governance at Broadridge, you will join a specialized research team that sits at the intersection of investor and issuer corporate governance practices. This role focuses on proxy voting—including plumbing, research, execution, data, and policy—offering a unique opportunity to develop expertise in the governance landscape.

Key Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Analyze global company filings and proxy statements to assess corporate governance and executive compensation practices.
  • Interpret client policy mandates and apply them to upcoming shareholder meetings.
  • Contribute to data management and research projects supporting governance analyses.
  • Leverage analytical tools and models to identify patterns in proxy voting and governance trends, making quantitative and qualitative assessments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare insights and recommendations for clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, public policy, sustainability, or a related field—and/or equivalent experience/industry qualifications.
  • 1‑2 years of experience in research, proxy voting, data analysis, or capital‑markets related role (preferred).
  • Comfortable working with analytical tools and large data sets.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance practices in the Americas and willingness to deepen this knowledge quickly through training.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn quickly.
  • Proficient with Excel and experience working with databases.
  • Curiosity, sound judgment, and willingness to learn are essential.
