Position Overview
Credit Controller – fixed‑term role based in Eccles, Manchester, within our Finance Team.
Responsibilities
- Collect outstanding debt and keep overdue balances to a minimum.
- Reduce ledger value.
- Resolve queries to ensure prompt payment.
- Allocate cash payments.
- Deliver an effective and efficient service to internal and external customers.
- Manage your own ledger and accounts.
- Provide query resolution, cash allocation and chase payments by phone and letter.
- Prioritise workload, utilise time‑management skills to produce reports.
- Meet critical deadlines in accordance with financial periods.
- Support other Credit Controllers within the team when necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar position within a finance department.
- Excellent communication skills with both internal and external partners.
- A well‑mannered yet tenacious approach.
- Intermediate IT skills, including Excel for reconciliations and report production.
- Logical and methodical way of working to meet financial targets.
- Experience with Oracle/SAP is desirable; full training will be provided.
- Encourage teamwork and foster a collaborative environment.
- Proactive, hard‑working, and flexible approach.
