Job Description
Rolls‑Royce is seeking Fluid Mechanics & Thermofluids Engineers to support a range of current and future opportunities across our Defence business. Our Fluid Mechanics teams are responsible for understanding, analysing and optimising the flow of air, fuel, oil and thermal energy through some of the world’s most advanced aerospace propulsion systems. These teams play a vital role in product performance, efficiency, safety and environmental compliance.

What we’re looking for
- Mechanical, Aerospace or related Engineering degree (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer or related disciplines
- Strong analytical and modelling capability
- Ability to solve complex technical problems within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in aerospace, defence or highly regulated industries is advantageous

Application Requirements
To work for the Rolls‑Royce Defence Early Life Cycle business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls‑Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of the work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
As part of our selection process, candidates in certain locations may be asked to complete an online assessment, which can include cognitive and behavioural aptitude testing relevant to the role.
