Overview

The Infrastructure Services team plays a key role in provisioning services throughout the University. The team is responsible for all servers, storage, identity management, virtualisation, platforms, databases and Google & M365 services.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the day‑to‑day support of University systems using standard tools.
  • Engage in project work and cross‑team activities within Technology Delivery.
  • Be available in Portsmouth a few days a week; hybrid working is available.

Salary and Progression

New appointments will be made to the entry pay point (minimum) for the advertised grade, with annual cost‑of‑living‑related increases, and progress through the pay range to the maximum for the grade within a reasonable timeframe. A higher starting salary or market supplement may be available for a truly exceptional candidate when circumstances fully justify a departure from our normal pay policy.
