Hours

40 hours per week, although variable and extended hours are necessary

Job Purpose

To support our client’s and customer’s teams with electrical engineering design and project control tasks in modifying buildings and installing equipment.

Main Duties

  • On-site project engineering support; create and review electrical specifications.
  • Electrical distribution design.
  • Co‑ordinate and monitor project work with customer and suppliers.
  • Validate equipment electrical installation against specifications and engineering deliverables; initiate corrective actions.
  • Understand 2D and 3D design line layouts and technical solutions; ability to draw may be helpful.
  • CDM experience.
  • Communicate well and build good relationships.

Main Responsibilities

  • Electrical engineering design and installation.
  • Provide electrical engineering advice to the project.
  • Supervise technical aspects of the project.
  • Communicate with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) companies and customers.
  • Develop and review equipment electrical aspects of URS (User Requirement Specifications).
  • Attend FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) at OEMs and record results.
  • Monitor equipment installation accuracy and quality at site.
  • Supervise electrical commissioning and SATs (Site Acceptance Tests) at customer’s sites.
  • Manage HSE and technical risks.
  • Follow HSE regulations and rules.
  • Participate in project meetings, face to face and virtual.
  • Write and present regular project updates to stakeholders.

Travel Requirements

This is a site-based role based in the Bristol/Bath area with possible visits to suppliers in the UK and internationally.

Benefits

Salary of £50‑55k depending on experience and a 1 year FTC. There is potential for the role to be made permanent.
