Salary: £50,784.36 Basic + Standby Payments + Overtime + Bonus Opportunities

We are currently recruiting for a Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading facilities and refrigeration maintenance provider, working across a prestigious retail contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer seeking a stable role with strong earning potential through standby payments, overtime, and additional performance incentives.

The Role

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on refrigeration systems, cold rooms, integral cabinets, and associated plant.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards.
• Responding to breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required.
• Maintaining accurate service records and reports.
• Building strong working relationships with site teams and customers.
• Participating in the on-call rota.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent
• Valid F-Gas Category 1 Certification
• Proven experience working on commercial refrigeration systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience within retail, supermarket, or commercial environments desirable
• Full UK Driving Licence

Package & Benefits

• Basic Salary: £50,784.36 per annum (Based on a 45-hour working week)
• Standby Allowance: 1 in 4 on‑call rota, £195 per standby week
• Overtime: Paid where applicable
• Additional On‑Call Cover: £150 per individual weekend day covered, overtime paid at standard rates for any call-outs attended
• Additional Performance Incentive: Work 6 additional days beyond the standard 13 weekend on‑call requirement and receive a £500 customer bonus
