Chief Engineers – Mechanical, Electrical and Controls Systems

Position Summary: The Principal Specialist will conduct drilling rig equipment condition audits in accordance with ISO 19011 Guidelines for Management System Audits, providing the client with a valid assessment and report on the availability, reliability and fit‑for‑purpose of all mechanical equipment and systems related to rig power, drilling, hoisting, marine and safety critical (excluding BOP) equipment.

  • Perform condition audits of rig equipment worldwide, including mechanical, electrical and control systems.
  • Produce detailed assessment reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide specialist advice, operational support and training materials to clients upon request.
  • Coordinate with operational, technical and professional personnel from client and governmental organisations.

Qualifications:

  • Degree level education or equivalent in a related field.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in the offshore drilling or maritime sector.
  • Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of power, drilling, hoisting and marine systems.
  • Background in the test and evaluation of complex systems.
