Senior Compliance Engineer (Medical Equipment)

Location: Cheltenham, England

Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per annum. Career progression, in‑house training, pension, and company benefits.

We are a market‑leading company specialising in accessibility solutions, developing high‑performance medical products.

In this role you will oversee all aspects of legislative compliance and product safety, ensuring compliance through rigorous testing and documentation. You will maintain a compliance database, support product design for certification, and lead training to uphold standards across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority on legislative compliance and product safety.
• Conduct detailed testing of new and existing products and generate reports for documentation.
• Maintain and update product approvals and certifications in line with current standards.
• Perform inspections to meet global safety requirements for product certification.
• Collaborate in the design of new products to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Compliance Engineer with proficiency in understanding schematic diagrams.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for Class I medical devices to MDD and MDR.
• Experience and competence complying with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14971.
• Experience testing and complying with IEC standards.
