About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Asset Operations Technical Service & Delivery (TS&D) team. In this role, you will provide Electrical Operation and Maintenance Engineering for offshore wind assets, primarily at NNG Windfarm in Eyemouth, with additional travel within the UK and Ireland as required.

On site at Eyemouth with some travel required.
What you will be doing day to day
- Leading by example to maintain the highest standards of compliance with HSEQ requirements.
- Providing in-field electrical engineering expertise at the site level across the full portfolio of offshore assets.
- Supporting Asset Operations teams with electrical and maintenance works and emergent/fault conditions.
- Reviewing or creating work scopes, work instructions and quality plans.
- Challenging current thinking and processes to seek alternative working methods.
- Driving continuous improvement and developing improvement cases.
- Identifying robust, innovative solutions and ensuring technology advances are utilised for futureproofing assets.
- Managing technical queries from team members, contractors and suppliers.
- Managing the Asset Change Management process to document modifications, retrofits and repairs.
- Reviewing, updating and approving site documentation against single line diagrams, electrical drawings and test data.
- Identifying and categorising risks to the risk register with appropriate RAG status.
- Defining output requirements for external technical specialists and ensuring root cause analysis and asset integrity focus.
- Identifying target areas for operational performance improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with the EDF Power Solutions asset management policy and contributing where required.
- Training to become a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) under the EDF Power Solutions E&M Safety Rules.
What you need to be great at this role

- Responsibility and accountability in supporting Asset Operations.
- Experience installing, operating, maintaining and testing HV switchgear, transformers, cables (XLPE), joints and terminations.
- Minimum of HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- NEBOSH or IOSH (or equivalent).
- Experience in the power generation sector, preferably renewable technologies, with offshore experience desirable.
- Physically fit to climb, comfortable with working at height and offshore.
- Excellent in building relationships with external partners, stakeholders and internal reporting lines.
- Full UK driving licence.
