Family Time Worker

Bolton Council is recruiting a full‑time Family Time Worker (37 hours per week) to join the Referral and Assessment Team, based at Castleton Street, Tonge Moor, Bolton (BL22JW). This temporary role runs from 22June to2October2026, paying £16.43 per hour PAYE (£20.83 umbrella).

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside Referral and Assessment Social Workers to deliver high‑quality intervention with children and families to achieve positive outcomes.
• Support family time sessions, complete home visits and provide direct work with children.
• Assist families with behaviour management strategies, routines, boundaries and budgeting.
• Refer families to appropriate support services.
• Work with families subject to Child in Need plans, Child Protection procedures and court proceedings.
• Partly office‑based with the expectation of travelling to Bolton at short notice to meet service needs.

Qualifications & requirements

• Relevant experience working with children and families in a statutory or voluntary setting.
• Driving licence essential.
• References will be requested; a DBS check is required.
