Overview

Capability Scotland works with people with complex and diverse needs, delivering exemplary care, support and education to meet their individual needs. The organisation is entering a period of ambitious growth and transformation with plans to redevelop its largest residential service in Perth and launch an Inclusive Community Project.

Responsibilities

  • Provide governance oversight, scrutiny, and support to the organisation’s management.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction, clarity of purpose, aims, and objectives.
  • Lead the board in driving change and shaping the future direction of the organization.
  • Support the growth and development of Corseford College, the first and only college in Scotland dedicated to young adults with multiple and complex disabilities.
  • Encourage innovative, high‑quality solutions to address gaps in care and support provision.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Expertise in Health & Social Care, Social Work, fundraising, marketing, communications, education, technology, or experience with assistive technology and AI in person‑centred care.
  • Lived experience of disability is highly valued.
  • A commitment to inclusion and diversity across the board.

Benefits
