Head of Transport Policy & Projects
Permanent role within City Infrastructure, reporting to the Service Director. Location: Hove Town Hall, Norton Road, Hove, BN3 3BQ.
Salary: £68,949 – £75,505. Contractual hours: 37. Basis: Flexi Hours.

Responsibilities
Lead the Transport Policy & Projects team, working across City Infrastructure and City Operations directorate. Key actions include:
- Ensuring delivery of the new sustainable Transport Plan through capital transport projects.
- Reducing harmful emissions from transport by encouraging sustainable bus operations.
- Delivering the Bus Service Improvement Plan.
- Protecting and restoring the city’s coastal and seafront highway infrastructure.
- Delivering the flood management strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should have:
- Extensive experience managing transport policy and projects, with a proven track record of delivering projects, managing significant budgets and framework contracts.
- Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks and statutory functions within City Infrastructure.
- Practical experience of procurement and contract management.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, influencing, advocating, and brokering agreement.
- Basic DBS check required.
