This acquisitive construction business has an exciting new position within the group finance team on offer. As the company continues to grow into new markets, acquiring complimentary businesses to their portfolio, this role will come with plenty of challenges, projects and interaction across all areas and divisions.
Reporting into the Group FC, on a surface level you will oversee and manage statutory, consolidation and group reporting processes, lay down effective financial controls, intercompany transactions, leading audits, be the go-to person for technical accounting matters and be the main point of contact for finance amongst all the businesses within the group.
Beyond those obvious group level responsibilities, you will work closely with leadership on M&A activities, supporting a range of commercial and strategic initiatives, work cross-divisionally on system implementations and roll-outs, work with individual businesses on finance process efficiencies as well as commercially viable initiatives.
The role poses a great opportunity to take on a mix of classic group finance activities, alongside more commercial and strategic work. With responsibility increasing as the business continues to grow, as well as a strong career trajectory.
A qualified accountant with experience on technical accounting and group level activities, whether within practice or industry would take to the role well and would appeal to those that wish to expand on more commercial elements of a business.
