Derbyshire Support and Facilities Services Ltd is seeking a Corporate Services Manager to support the Managing Director’s Office, Board processes, corporate governance, risk management and organisational assurance. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the centre of DSFS, helping to maintain strong governance, clear oversight and high standards of corporate delivery.

As part of the Corporate Services function, you will support governance, risk management, policies, Freedom of Information, executive administration and Managing Director support, helping to ensure effective decision‑making and compliance.

This varied role requires sound judgement, discretion and confidence working across corporate functions. You will support the DSFS Limited Companies Board and key governance meetings, ensuring clear reporting, assurance and oversight of major deliverables, risks and external standards.

The postholder must be onsite 5 days a week to provide visible corporate support, service resilience and support for sensitive assignments.

Main duties of the job

You will support the planning, coordination and improvement of Board, performance and contract meetings.

You will oversee the preparation, quality and timely submission of governance and performance reports, ensuring clear information for effective decision‑making.

You will maintain DSFS governance frameworks, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations.

You will build strong relationships across DSFS, Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and wider partners to support assurance and joined‑up decision‑making.

You will support robust risk management and incident reporting arrangements across DSFS services.

Working with Directors and senior leaders, you will ensure actions, decisions and key deliverables are recorded, monitored and progressed.

Qualifications and Training

  • Provision of services in the healthcare industry in a managerial role, able to demonstrate a good understanding of operational delivery.
  • Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of a variety of NHS sectors.
  • Proof of successful strategy development and implementation.
  • Able to create/shape innovative strategic vision for the best possible long term benefit of the organisation and patients.
  • Exceptional communicator, able to create impact and demonstrate proactive customer relationship awareness.
  • A proven track record of translating strategy into effective delivery.
  • Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium and long‑term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly
  • Demonstrated capabilities to manage own workload and make informed decisions in the absence of required information, working to tight and often changing timescales
  • Ability to make decisions autonomously, when required on difficult issues.

Experience

  • Strong experience in governance, corporate services, compliance, or executive support within a complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to deliver governance or performance cycles reliably and on time.
  • Confident in handling sensitive information with discretion
  • Ability to work across multiple levels of the organisation
  • Experience within NHS, public sector, or subsidiary company governance.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent organisational leadership skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Understanding of corporate risk management frameworks and statutory compliance
  • High level of written communication, able to produce accurate and professional reports, minutes, and assurance papers.

Personal Attributes

  • Ability to influence, build trust, and work effectively with senior leaders and board members.
