Job Description:

Dematic’s Global Software Organisation provides intelligent warehouse execution software to a range of highly automated and innovative distribution centres and warehouse environments. Our software allows customers to control a wide range of automated processes, giving them real‑time visibility of overall operations.

As part of the Software Support Team in the UK, you will provide 2nd level support to customers, assisting them with resolving issues that require solution‑oriented approaches. You will work with a dedicated UK team and collaborate with global software teams to deliver support and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 2nd line support services for both new and existing customers.
  • Carry out software support, document incoming service cases, and describe solutions.
  • Collaborate with functional departments on software projects and provide insightful feedback.
  • Support international project commissioning and after‑go‑live support.
  • Provide service support for existing customers.
  • Develop software for WCS, MFC, and OFS systems (PTL, PbV).
  • Handle change request processing for existing customers.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills with patience and perseverance when solving customer challenges.
  • Experience with software architectures and Java development.
  • Experience in a similar 2nd line IT or software support function.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management/Execution systems (beneficial).
  • Comfortable handling of databases (Oracle).
  • Willingness to share 24/7 on‑call duties with the team.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
