Desktop Engineer

Manchester (3-5 days on site per week)

£33,000-38,000 per annum

Candidates must be eligible for SC clearance

We are actively looking to secure a Desktop Engineer to join Experis.

Job Purpose/The Role:

The Desktop Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining end-user computing environments. This role ensures that all user devices and workplace technology are operating effectively, providing reliable support to internal users and contributing to a positive user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for end-user devices, resolving issues and service requests in a timely manner
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and associated equipment
  • Support users with day-to-day technical issues, both remotely and on-site
  • Manage user access and ensure systems are set up appropriately for business needs
  • Maintain and update device builds and configurations
  • Assist in the deployment of new devices and technologies
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Support the setup and maintenance of peripheral devices
  • Ensure systems are maintained in line with organisational standards and policies
  • Work with other IT teams to resolve issues and support wider technology initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and issues resolved
  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation
