Interim Finance Director / Financial Controller
Location: Hybrid (1 day per week in the office)
Salary: Circa £65,000
Contract: Temporary Assignment
Start Date: July 2026
Jive Recruitment are supporting a growing business in their search for an experienced Finance Director or Financial Controller to join them on an interim basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys getting into the detail of the numbers and helping businesses make informed strategic decisions.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for reviewing the company’s financial position and developing robust financial models to support future investment plans. The business is looking to invest in new opportunities and requires an experienced finance professional who can provide clear visibility of cash flow, budgeting and cost implications to support decision-making.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and enhancing budgeting and forecasting models
- Producing detailed cash flow forecasts and scenario planning
- Reviewing costs and profitability across the business
- Providing financial analysis to support future investment decisions
- Working closely with departmental managers to understand operational requirements
- Identifying areas for financial improvement and increased efficiency
- Utilising Sage to analyse and report on financial performance
- Preparing findings and recommendations for presentation to the Board in October
- Supporting the wider finance function and ensuring financial processes continue to run smoothly
To be considered, you will:
- Be ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
- Have previous experience operating at Financial Controller or Finance Director level
- Be highly analytical with strong financial modelling skills
- Have experience producing budgets, forecasts and cash flow models
- Be confident presenting financial information and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Have strong Sage experience
- Be commercially aware and able to translate financial data into practical business recommendations
- Be available to commence the assignment in July
This role would suit a hands-on finance professional who enjoys partnering with the business, influencing decision-making and delivering meaningful financial insight.
