About the job
As Commercial Finance Analyst, you will provide commercial finance support to a number of Directors across Autotrader. You will work closely with our partnerships and product teams, influencing and driving them to execute their full-year financial plan, while taking full responsibility for the budgeting and analysis of over £10m in revenue. You will also be responsible for leading the annual forecasting process for the teams you support, providing monthly and weekly insight into performance.
This role offers complete autonomy, giving you the space to own your remit and truly drive performance discussions with both internal and external stakeholders. A key highlight of the role includes leading monthly meetings where you will present directly to members of the Autotrader Leadership Team (ALT), including the CEO and CFO. To succeed, you will proactively gain an understanding of new products and develop key KPIs. Monthly reviews and analysis of revenue and key metrics will be required, working with the Business Insight and Reporting teams to ensure information supports strategic decisions. Ad‑hoc analysis will be provided as necessary.
The role requires strong commercial awareness, a proactive approach, and problem‑solving skills to deliver value to both financial and non‑financial stakeholders. You will analyse large datasets to provide insights, identify risks and opportunities, and influence stakeholders to drive commercially sound decisions.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects in a collaborative environment where you will interact with teams across Autotrader. You will be supported by the wider Finance team, empowered to make positive change, and encouraged to join us on a journey of continuous improvement.
You might think you have to be a car enthusiast to work here but you don’t. We’re looking for people who care about their craft and enjoy working in a collaborative environment.
