Salary: £250 SIGN-UP BONUS once you’ve worked 150 hours!

We’re currently recruiting Urgent Treatment Practitioners (Band 7 & Band 8a) to support our NHS Client across multiple Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs).

This is a zero-hour, shift-by-shift opportunity, offering excellent flexibility, competitive LTD rates, and the chance to work within a leading NHS Trust.

  • Band 7 & Band 8a – Senior Urgent Care Practitioner

Locations

  • Ripley
  • Ilkeston
  • Whitworth

Requirements

  • Professional registration with NMC or HCPC
  • Minor Injuries Management qualification
  • Minimum Level 7 module in Physical Examination & Clinical Reasoning
  • V300 Non-Medical Prescriber (Level 7)

The UTC service will review applicants with either minor illness or minor injury experience, however prescribing is essential.

Shift Patterns

  • Early, Late & Long Day shifts
  • Shift lengths: 7.5, 10 or 12 hours
  • Mainly daytime cover
  • Zero-hour contract – pick shifts that suit your availability
  • Once approved, candidates can self-book available shifts as they are released

Pay Rates (LTD)

  • Band 7: £39 per hour (Mon-Fri) LTD company rate, inclusive of Holiday and NI
  • Band 8a: £45 per hour (Mon-Fri) LTD company rate, inclusive of Holiday and NI

Band 8a trainees will not be accepted. Band 8a clinicians may cover Band 7 shifts only.

Banding Explained

  • Band 7: Nurse Practitioner Prescriber (V300) – able to assess, diagnose, treat & prescribe, no Masters in ACP required
  • Band 8a: Advanced Nurse / Clinical Practitioner with Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice

Skills & Experience Considered

  • Minor Illness & Minor Injuries
  • Prescribing
  • Paediatrics (0-12 months / 12-24 months / 24+ months)
  • Mental Health management
  • Pregnancy-related presentations

Work settings include: GP surgeries, Urgent Care, Out of Hours, Home Visiting & Telephone Triage.
