An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Band 5 Prosthetists – 1 permanent and 1 twelve‑month contract. Successful applicants will work with experienced Prosthetists and develop skills in a specialist Prosthetic Centre, covering a caseload of prosthetic patients.
Responsibilities
The prosthetist will facilitate the provision of safe, high‑quality care and ensure prosthetic prescriptions for adults and children following limb loss are suitable and cost‑effective.
They are responsible for providing high‑quality specialist lifelong prosthetics care to patients with amputation or congenital limb loss within a clinical environment, working within the prosthetic team. They support the multidisciplinary team, deliver evidence‑based care, and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
The post holder will have responsibility for a prosthetic caseload, working within HCPC and BAPO professional guidelines and standards.
