Field Sales Engineer – West Midlands

In your role as a Field Sales Engineer, you will directly collaborate with our customers to develop industry‑specific machining solutions, demonstrating our capabilities through a passion for engineering excellence and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sales and profitability within a designated geographical area.
• Prospect, make sales calls, provide product training, support and analysis, and recommend processes/products through direct and distribution partner channels.
• Document cost reductions and administer CRM.
• Implement innovative machining techniques, cutting strategies, or refine current methods to support customers’ continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cutting tool applications.
• Strong experience in indexable milling and a metal cutting background.
• Experience with 5‑axis machine centres and familiarity with machining aerospace materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• HNC or HND in production or mechanical engineering.
• Full and clean driving licence.
• Strong communication skills – confident and articulate, capable of presenting clearly to internal and external audiences.
• Self‑motivated, results‑driven, strong time‑management skills and proactive approach to personal development.
• Analytical mindset, planning, and precision execution.
• Teamwork, creativity, and interpersonal abilities.
• Eligibility: must be eligible to work in the UK for a valid permit.
