Refrigeration Engineer
Salary: £20.00 per hour (£52,000 per annum based on 50 hours per week) + Overtime
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business.
This is a site‑based role responsible for maintaining and supporting critical refrigeration and cooling systems across a busy operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime and supporting the smooth running of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on refrigeration and cooling systems
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out fault‑finding and repairs
- Diagnose equipment issues and identify appropriate solutions
- Recommend repairs, upgrades or replacement equipment where necessary
- Ensure all systems operate safely, efficiently and in line with relevant regulations
- Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately
- Work independently whilst supporting wider operational teams when required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working within refrigeration engineering
- Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience maintaining refrigeration and cooling equipment
- Ability to manage your own workload and work proactively
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- F‑Gas certification would be advantageous
