Electrical Triage Specialist – Field based with office requirement – Competitive salary + company van

The Role

We’re looking for an Electrical Triage Specialist to join our Operational Partnerships team within Service Operations. This is a key role responsible for ensuring that electrical repair work across our contractor network is diagnosed correctly, authorised appropriately, and delivered right first time. You’ll play a vital part in balancing customer outcomes, commercial control, and technical quality. If you enjoy solving problems, making informed decisions, and working closely with both contractors and internal teams, this is a great opportunity to have real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Technical Triage & Decision-Making
  • Review and resolve non-standard or escalated electrical queries
  • Provide expert guidance on fault diagnosis, repair methods and labour expectations
  • Cost Authorisation & Control
  • Challenge incomplete or unclear requests and agree next steps
  • Product & Policy Application
  • Share insights to improve guidance and reduce repeat queries
  • Contractor Support & Service Standards
  • Provide practical advice to contractors on expected standards of work
  • Identify and flag performance or quality concerns
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Support investigations by providing technical insight
  • Share learnings to drive consistency across the function
  • Track recurring themes and cost drivers
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and guidance
  • Contribute to ongoing enhancements across triage and authorisation

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and strong judgement, with the confidence to make clear, fair decisions.

  • Recognised Level 3 Electrical qualification + 18th Edition (BS 7671)
  • Eligible for an ECS Gold Card
  • Strong experience in electrical fault diagnosis and repair methods
  • Confidence in reviewing or authorising work/costs within a policy-driven environment
  • Strong stakeholder communication – able to challenge, explain and influence
  • A customer‑focused mindset with high standards of service delivery
  • Experience working with contractor networks or field‑based service models
  • Exposure to complaints or regulated environments
  • Coaching, mentoring or quality assurance experience
