Quality Manager – Construction Programme
The Quality Manager (QM) is the lead contact for all quality matters within their assigned area of the business. The QM leads a team of quality professionals providing a quality management service whilst ensuring that all activities throughout the FPM project lifecycle are defined, planned and implemented in their area and are aligned to the RR SL Quality Policy, Strategy and Manual. The QM provides support and guidance in delivery of both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) and drives continual improvement across all project phases.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality management activities across the entire project lifecycle
- Define, plan and implement quality processes aligned to organisational policies and procedures
- Provide guidance and support for QA / QC delivery on major infrastructure programmes
- Drive continual improvement and report on quality performance metrics
- Conduct audits, reviews and approvals of engineering, construction and operational deliverables
- Manage non‑conformance, corrective actions and ensure continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Degree or professional qualification in a STEM subject, quality management or equivalent
- Member or Fellow of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
- Experience in quality management, assurance or control on major infrastructure programmes
- Proven track record of developing, implementing and maintaining quality management systems
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards and statutory compliance
- Experience with quality tools, metrics and reporting systems
- Experience working within advanced manufacturing industries (e.g., aerospace, defence, nuclear, power systems)
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, 8D, human factors and continuous improvement methodologies (preferred)
- Operational experience within the relevant approved organisation scope (preferred)
