Senior Project Payroll Consultant

Hybrid – 4 month temporary assignment

My client, a prestigious organisation based in the City of London, is currently seeking a Senior Project Payroll Consultant for a 4‑month temporary assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the current payroll operating model end to end across process, governance, systems, service delivery, controls, and stakeholder accountabilities.
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, risks, and pain points.
  • Assess whether the current model is the optimum setup for the future.
  • Evaluate realistic future‑state options.
  • Recommend the most effective, efficient, and resilient payroll operating model for the future, that sits appropriate alongside our risk profile as an organisation.
  • Provide a practical implementation roadmap for any recommendations made.
  • Present findings to senior stakeholders in a clear and commercially sensible way.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in global payroll operating model review and redesign.
  • Experience of outsourced payroll environments.
  • Experience working across international organisations.
  • Good judgement on governance, controls, service quality, and risk.
  • Payroll transformation experience.
  • HR systems knowledge.
  • Provider selection or transition experience.
  • Background in both strategy and delivery.
  • Current‑state review.
  • Options paper.
  • Recommendation paper.
  • Implementation roadmap.
  • Executive presentation.
